Local First Responders Honored at Annual ‘Heroes’ Luncheon, Hosted by Legacy Village at Park Regency
MOULTRIE, Ga. (September 26, 2016) – Legacy Village at Park Regency hosted its annual Heroes’ Luncheon to show gratitude for local first responders on Thursday, Sept. 15, in observation of 9/11.
“We can’t say thank you enough to our first responders. They always go above and beyond to keep our facility and our residents safe. We have full trust and confidence in them when our residents are in their care,” said Melissa Carr, executive director of Legacy Village at Park Regency, a premier senior living community serving Moultrie, Ga.
The lunch was prepared by Legacy Village at Park Regency’s dietary director, Kim Kersey. “We are thankful that we had the opportunity to provide a special meal for our first responders and would also like to thank Sanderson Farms for donating the chicken that we prepared for our local Heroes’ Luncheon,” said Kersey.
“In September of each year, we recognize ‘assisted living week’ for our residents, with a theme for each day of the week. We were excited to use one of these days to recognize our local heroes and spoil them with a delicious lunch to thank them for all they do for us and our community,” said Lisa Childs, life enrichment coordinator of Legacy Village at Park Regency.
